it demands the integration of geospatial evidence, local knowledge, decentralized land-use control, vegetation restoration and participatory environmental governance.","半干旱地区的气候脆弱性日益受到土地利用变化、植被胁迫、气候变率、聚落扩张和土地管理系统薄弱等因素交互作用的影响。 ,null,"British Journal of Contemporary Research","2026-09-11T00:00:00Z","论文",10,false,0
"H7","climate","气候适应与防灾减灾","/topic/environment/climate","H",[
"classified","2026-10-22.2","rules
38,45,51
4,true,[],[43],"干旱",[21
"H6",1,[],[],[23
"W7212300148",[64,67,69
Garba T","https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7619-9023
Choji I D
Nasiru N M","https://bexfordpublishing.co.uk/journals/bjcr/articles/BEX_JUL_26_079/download
6,[84,165,225,338,409,465
3903,"An Analysis of Land Use and Land Cover Change Detection Using Geospatial Technology-A Case Study of Phalsoond Tehsil in Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan, India","https://doi.org/10.22214/ijraset.2026.84983","Analysis of Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) change is significant indicators of environmental changes, resource utilization and sustainable development, especially in arid regions where land and water resources are very fragile. The present study has investigated the spatio-temporal analysis of LULC changes in Phascoond Tehsil of Jaisalmer District of Rajasthan, India from the year 2017 to 2024 using Remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. To classify the study area, multi-temporal Sentinel-2 data with 10 m spatial resolution were provided by the Esri Sentinel-2 Land Cover Explorer, which was used to separate the area into five categories i.e. water bodies, agriculture land, built-up areas, bare ground and wasteland. LULC changes were quantified in terms of magnitude and direction using post-classification comparison and GIS-based change detection techniques. The findings show significant change in landscape over the year 2017 to 2024. Wasteland remained the dominant land-cover category but declined from 779.07 km² (78.28%) in 2017 to 726.86 km² (71.41%) in 2024. Agricultural area grew by 86.62 km² (+19.48% to 280.52 km²), adding 94.76 km² of wasteland. Gradual settlement and infrastructure development also resulted in an increase in built-up area from 3.89 km2 to 7.73 km2 . The water bodies were small in spatial extent and slight shifts happened between bare ground and other land-cover classes. The results clearly show that the Sentinel-2 data and GIS-based analysis is useful in monitoring LULC dynamics in data-sparse arid regions. The present extent of agriculture and development has occurred at a time when there is a need to manage the land and groundwater resources sustainably, monitor environment, and plan land use with climate change in Phalsoond tehsil of Jaisalmer District in western Rajasthan.","土地利用与土地覆盖（LULC）变化分析是环境变化、资源利用和可持续发展的重要指标，在土地与水资源极为脆弱的干旱地区尤为如此。 ,"International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology","2026-09-30T00:00:00Z",52
[105
"I4","gis","GIS与空间分析","/topic/digital-agriculture/gis","I
[114,120,128,135,142
GIS","geographic information",[
"W7214996325",[154,156
Deendayal .
Om Prakash","https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1239-445X
,"2026-10-01T23:30:29.277138Z
2060,"Land use transformation and urban heat dynamics in India’s world heritage cities Jaipur and Ahmedabad","https://doi.org/10.1007/s44327-026-00361-6","The rapid growth of cities as a result of urbanization has caused immense changes to land-use/land-cover (LU/LC) patterns and urban thermal environments within Indian cities, especially in semi-arid regions. Urban growth dramatically affects World Heritage Cities (WHC) designated by UNESCO and has the potential to negatively affect environmental sustainability and the conservation of cultural heritage. Thus, this study presents a structured comparative narrative review of LU/LC transformation and urban heat dynamics in Jaipur and Ahmedabad, India. Literature published between 2000 and 2025 was identified from major scientific literature databases and used in a comparative synthesis of urban growth patterns, research methodology, and environmental consequences. The results of the review indicate considerable growth of built-up areas of each city at the expense of agricultural land, vegetation, and open spaces. Ahmedabad had greater than 130% growth of built-up area from 1990 to 2019 while Jaipur experienced considerable directional urban expansion and increased land surface temperatures (LST). Most of the studies utilized remote sensing and GIS methods using Landsat and IRS data sets; the study of Ahmedabad represented a greater methodological advancement through use of CA-Markov and ANN urban growth model methodologies than that of Jaipur which was mostly retrospective, with few predictive modeling studies. Results of the study reveal that there is a strong connection between land use/land cover changes and the heat dynamics of an urban area, resulting in increased thermal stress, more vulnerable(e.g.) to climate change; and There will be growing pressures on these cities to sustain their cultural and architectural heritage (including all things associated with the built environment). Rising temperatures, increased evapotranspiration, irregular precipitation, droughts, flooding, and sea-level rise can intensify salt accumulation and alter soil–water interactions. This review examines the emerging challenges associated with climate change and soil salinity in Pakistan, focusing on their impacts on soil properties, crop physiology, agricultural production, and rural livelihoods. It discusses the mechanisms of soil salinity and sodicity, their spatial distribution, and the interactions among climate variability, irrigation practices, groundwater quality, and secondary salinization. Furthermore, sustainable management approaches are evaluated, including gypsum application, organic amendments, integrated nutrient management, efficient irrigation, drainage improvement, and appropriate leaching strategies. Climate-resilient approaches, such as conventional crop breeding, modern biotechnology, halophyte utilization, plant growth-promoting microorganisms, and mycorrhizal associations, are also explored. The review highlights the potential of remote sensing, geographic information systems, precision agriculture, and predictive modelling to support salinity monitoring and site-specific management. Despite these opportunities, important challenges remain, including insufficient long-term monitoring, limited region-specific data, economic constraints, and gaps in farmer awareness and institutional coordination. Addressing these challenges requires integrated research, effective agricultural policies, improved extension services, and collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and farming communities. Prioritizing locally adapted, economically feasible, and environmentally sustainable interventions can strengthen agricultural resilience, restore salt-affected soils, and protect freshwater resources. Overall, integrating climate adaptation with sustainable soil and water management is essential for maintaining agricultural productivity and improving long-term food security in Pakistan.","土壤盐渍化是制约巴基斯坦农业生产力、土壤健康和粮食安全的主要因素，在气候变化条件下尤为突出。 ,"Kashmir Journal of Academic Research and Development","2026-10-20T00:00:00Z",66
[247,252
"H2","soil","土壤健康与改良","/topic/environment/soil
"irrigation","水资源与灌溉","/topic/environment/irrigation
[259,264,269,275,279,286,293,297,303
"W7222999158",[317,319,321,323,325,327,330
Asifa Naz
Muhammad Abu Baker Siddiq
Syed Asghar Hussain Shah
Shahrish Nawaz
Muhmmad Irfan
Rizwana Kausar","https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1339-3312
Muhammad Nouman Khalid
,"2026-10-21T23:30:23.059448Z
5476,"Digital Transformation of Haryana Agriculture: Strengthening Climate Resilience and Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals","https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23491288","Climate change has surfaced as one of the most pivotal challenges confronting the agricultural sector, especially in agrarian regions vulnerable to resource degradation, water scarcity, and climate uncertainties. Haryana, a leading agricultural state in India, has faced significant environmental pressures in recent years, including declining groundwater levels, erratic rainfall patterns, rising temperatures, and soil degradation, necessitating the adoption of climate-resilient agricultural strategies. Against this backdrop, Information and Communication Technology has gained considerable importance as a transformative mechanism for strengthening agricultural sustainability, adaptive capacity, and informed decision-making among farmers. ICT-enabled interventions such as mobile-based advisory services, precision farming technologies, digital marketplaces, weather forecasting systems, remote sensing, and various e-governance platforms have increasingly contributed to improving agricultural efficiency and resilience. The present study aims to evaluate the role of ICT-enabled agricultural practices in Haryana and their contribution to climate resilience and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. This study applies a descriptive and analytical approach, drawing on secondary data and narrative review methodology. The study utilizes secondary data from government reports, policy documents, research articles, institutional publications, and international development reports on digital agriculture, climate change, and sustainable development, published between 2016 and 2026. The findings indicate that ICT-based agricultural innovations have substantially enhanced access to climate information, improved resource-use efficiency, increased market connectivity, and enabled adaptive agricultural management practices. Furthermore, ICT interventions have significant potential to support SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 13: Climate Action. However, challenges such as digital illiteracy, infrastructural disparities, limited technological accessibility among smallholders, and inadequate institutional support continue to hinder widespread adoption. The study emphasizes the need for inclusive digital policies, strengthened rural ICT infrastructure, farmer-centric skill development, and integrated climate-smart agricultural frameworks to facilitate sustainable, resilient agricultural development in Haryana.","气候变化已成为农业部门面临的最关键挑战之一，在易受资源退化、水资源短缺和气候不确定性影响的农业区域尤为如此。 ,"Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)",70
[
[361,366,372,376,380,386
[363],"climate resilience",[117,118,363],[21
11,[],[290,352,370],"digital agriculture",[352,353
[],[267,249],[
[],[132,133],[
"W7223011965",[398,400
Himani Rathi
Pardeep Kumar Duhan
5326,"Flood Hazard and Vulnerability Assessment of Chitrakoot District, Uttar Pradesh: An Integrated Geographical, GIS and Remote Sensing Approach","https://doi.org/10.36948/ijfmr.2026.v08i05.89708","Flood is one of the most important hydro-meteorological hazards affecting human settlements, agriculture, infrastructure and regional economies. Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh presents a distinctive case of hydro-climatic vulnerability because it belongs to the drought-prone Bundelkhand region but simultaneously experiences recurrent riverine and flash-flood conditions during intense monsoon rainfall. The present study assesses the spatial characteristics and determinants of flood hazard and vulnerability in Chitrakoot district using an integrated geographical, GIS and remote sensing approach. The analysis incorporates the Digital Elevation Model (DEM), drainage network, physiography, river proximity, historical flood information, satellite-based flood observations and socio-economic exposure. The district's DEM indicates a marked elevation gradient, approximately from 66 m to 451 m, with relatively higher terrain in the southern part and lower terrain towards the northern Yamuna valley. This topographic configuration facilitates rapid surface runoff from elevated southern terrain towards comparatively low-lying riverine areas. The drainage system is dominated by the Yamuna and Mandakini/Paisuni systems along with Baghain, Gunta, Bardaha and smaller tributaries. The Uttar Pradesh Flood Hazard Atlas identifies 5,114 ha of flood-hazard area in Chitrakoot for 1998–2020, of which 4,129 ha (81%) falls in the very-low hazard category and 985 ha (19%) in the low-hazard category. However, the historical classification does not fully represent the potential consequences of extreme rainfall events. The August 2026 flood provides compelling evidence: the Mandakini at Chitrakoot reached a reported new high flood level of 145.60 m on 29 August 2026, approximately 2.95 m above the previous reported high level, while the water level rose by about 7.5 m within six hours. The study concludes that flood risk in Chitrakoot is spatially concentrated around river corridors, low-elevation areas, floodplains, agricultural land, settlements and tourism infrastructure. A shift from conventional relief-oriented flood management towards integrated floodplain regulation, watershed management, GIS-based risk zonation, real-time monitoring and community-based preparedness is therefore essential.","洪水是影响人类住区、农业、基础设施和区域经济的最重要的水文气象灾害之一。 ,"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","2026-10-17T00:00:00Z
"W7222885988",[455
Birendra Yadav","https://orcid.org/0009-0007-0864-474X","https://www.ijfmr.com/papers/2026/5/89708.pdf
,"2026-10-19T23:30:24.356743Z
5172,"Forest green-up in the Pearl River Basin: trends, driving factors, and relationships with net primary productivity","https://doi.org/10.1080/17538947.2026.2738487","The spring green-up date (GUD), a critical indicator of ecosystem response to climate change, profoundly influences terrestrial productivity. However, the complex drivers of GUD remain elusive, while the contentious relationship between GUD and net primary productivity (NPP) challenges the universal validity of the hypothesis that earlier green-up enhances productivity. Using MODIS NDVI data (2000-2020), we quantified forest GUD dynamics in the Pearl River Basin and combined random forest, SHAP, and structural equation modelling to identify drivers and assess GUD-NPP relationships. GUD was advanced by approximately 5 days, with 81.8% of forestland pixels advancing and 18.2% delaying. Only 5.39% of advances showed significant trends, whereas 30.45% of delays were concentrated near croplands and developed areas. The random forest model explained 58.2% of GUD variation. Elevation, precipitation, and soil potassium and phosphorus were dominant; elevation-induced thermal gradients outweighed ambient temperature effects, with elevations above 1,200 m exhibiting markedly delayed GUD. Spatially, GUD had a positive correlation with NPP, indicating that later GUD was associated with higher forest NPP, possibly because of early-spring cold snaps and frost. Temporally, areas with stronger GUD delays tended to show greater NPP increases.
